模拟恐怖(Analog Horror/Analogue Horror)是数字恐怖(Digital Horror)的较旧版本及Found Footage的亚种。该美学整合了如电视广播、VHS录像带和EAS等较旧的“模拟”风格，同时包含唤起恐惧、不安与不详感的恐怖元素。

视觉[]

老式录像和故障、噪点效果是模拟恐怖的主要视觉效果。

模拟时代的多数电视节目或广告通常包含深蓝色或其他颜色的空白背景。它们还会显示时间和将要播出的节目时间表，通常在午夜12点至凌晨5点。

扭曲、变形、发黑的面部是模拟恐怖另一种常见的视觉效果。这些面部通常笼罩在浓厚的阴影下且经过锐化处理。亦表现出扭曲、阴险和不自然的神情，并包含极其详细的特征。

太空图像也出现在许多模拟恐怖视频中，通常带有不祥的色调。如出现在《双子座家庭娱乐》（Gemini Home Entertainment）和《Local 58》中的行星和月球。
