Aesthetics Wiki

Winter Academia is an aesthetic that revolves around the pursuit of knowledge through reading, writing and research. It is ideologically similar to its other counterparts, and visually similar to Dark Academia, but with a further wintry aesthetic added that creates a less ominous atmosphere. Instead, it retains a softer feel which is quite unique amongst its counterparts, despite this aesthetic being relatively exclusive to only a few months of the year in real life.

Christmas Academia (Subgenre)[]

Christmas Academia is near-identical to Winter Academia in terms of visuals, except it retains an added focus on the Christmas season. This means that it also adopts added motifs such as Christmas trees, wreaths, lights and decorations, as well as the aforementioned motifs used in Winter Academia. This aesthetic looks at the cosier side of Winter, while Winter Academia generally focuses on the cold and snow. Also, due to the nature of Christmas itself, the aesthetic oftentimes tends to be a lot more colourful than the fairly reserved colour scheme of its Winter Academia root.
