Aesthetics Wiki

If so, why? For me it's Shawn's goofy antics and witty, biting one-liners and Woody's chaotic nature. Also, the show itself has a very playful and mischievous sense of humor that can sometimes include the momentary dark and edgy joke here and there, all traits of the Bastardcore aesthetic.

Specific characters: Shawn Spencer and Burton "Gus" Guster, Woody Strode, and Marlowe Lassiter, and certain other characters like Dr. Mary Lightly, Mr. Yang, Selene Gilmore from the movies and, of course, the elusive thief known as Pierre Despereaux (all adherents to the Bastardcore aesthetic).

Specific episodes: The show itself embodies the Bastardcore aesthetic to a T - which is especially unusual for a television series of the detective fiction genre (but mainly due to its more lighthearted, peppy, upbeat and comedic tone) - but I would say the episodes "Viagra Falls", "Last Night Gus", "Deez Nups" and "Dead Air" as well as the Despereaux episodes especially so.

Anyways, what say you?
