Reason for Warning: This page documents a subculture defined by a misogynistic and classist pejorative used to mock working-class women in Romania. The stereotype is explicitly linked to themes of perceived vulgarity and sexualization due to revealing fashion. The content also references the aesthetic's association with plastic surgery and artificial cosmetic procedures. Viewer discretion is advised.
Pițipoancă (sometimes shortened to Piți and plurally, Pițipoance) is a slang term used in Romania to describe a subculture of women who stereotypically wear revealing clothes in bright colors or animal prints, high platform shoes often sporting a dark fake tan, "bad" makeup and plastic surgery. The fashion was mainly inspired by the McBling aesthetic. By the late 2010s this style had died almost completely, with the term hitting its peak in mainstream popularity around the late 2000s to the early 2010s, usually used in a derogatory way towards members of the subculture by the media.
