Reason: "Nostalgiacore" is fundamentally a broad concept or social media hashtag describing the appreciation of nostalgia, rather than a distinct visual or cultural aesthetic. It functions as a redundant and disorganized overview page for other (or problematic) nostalgia-based aesthetics, such as "Kidcore" and "Late 2000s Elementary School." Its existence promotes over-categorization and unnecessary noise by attempting to be a hub for elements that should either be distinct pages or not present on the wiki at all. The gallery continues to be a disparate collection of potentially nostalgic elements.

Note: It is possible that Nostalgiacore is a rename of Kidcore. Please join the discussion in the Discord or on the talk page.

Nostalgiacore is a tag that encapsulates the aesthetic appreciation of things that evoke nostalgia. Because this is primarily done through social media, the nostalgia is associated with Gen Z in anglophone nations, which is visually distinct from nostalgia that older and culturally different nations.

Late 2000s Elementary School[]

Late 2000s Elementary School describes the nostalgic memories of people attending American/Canadian elementary schools from the mid 2000s to the early/mid 2010s. During this time, many fads appeared, with different activities within the classroom, new computer programs, food, toys, and fictional works being highly well-known among people who went to elementary school. This page also relates to the after-school visuals related to this age set, so it is not necessarily always taking place in school.

Kidcore[]

Kidcore is an aesthetic centered around bright colors, nostalgia for 1990s cultural icons, and childhood themes. While the aesthetic draws from several different decades, ranging from the 1970s to the 2000s, it approximately originated in the 2010s.
