Subgenres[]

Mothcore is a single-subject subgenre of Feralcore that emphasizes returning to nature chaotically. One of the first definitions of "feral" is "in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication" - this accurately portrays Mothcore. Mothcore commonly has photos of moths, but can also primarily depict nature. This subgenre is less popular than the usual Feralcore and the two are often grouped together in the tags of posts.

Pigeoncore is a potential single-subject subgenre of Feralcore centered around pigeons, which are seen as feral animals by some, and like Mothcore, also reflects the first definition of "feral".
