^Well then why does the content filtering issue exist? It already existed for a good amount of years now, and several people, even the furries themselves, constantly complain, but no change. Therefore, there are 2 possibilities:
The content filtering mods of the furry fandom are trying their best to filter the content, but the sheer amount of it being produced is too much for them to handle, proving the furry fandom is mostly not safe for work. This would technically be the lesser evil compared to the next possibility.
The mods are apathetic, so they don’t care, or are corrupt, so they support the inappropriate content creation.
It could be a mix of the above possibilities, and most likely is, but they both invariably lead to the same conclusion: the furry fandom is mostly not safe.
^I see what you are saying, but the “og good fans” have been essentially kicked out of the fandom by this point. Their fandom has been corrupted to the point that a few furries even make splinter groups (the fuzzies, burn furs) just to have a space where they aren’t exposed to inappropriate content. If the fans themselves are to that point of breaking off, something definitely isn’t right. The images you showed me don’t even necessarily have to be furries because anthropomorphic animals are present in several video games including sonic, so it isn’t right to call them furries because sonic himself is an anthropomorphic animal. Is mickey mouse a furry?
Edit: also, I doubt the furry fandom has ever been good. The history of the furry fandom is from underground inappropriate magazines from way back in the 70s and 80s. The furry fandom might actually be the oldest internet fandom, but it definitely doesn’t make it good.
^Ok, but what I am saying is that the furry fandom has a much higher concentration of inappropriate topics within the furry fandom, compared to other fandoms. I could scroll the super mario, sonic, pizza tower, murder drones, and FPE fandoms for hours, and I would rarely see a truly inappropriate post, and not just a cringe ship or something. On the other hand, search up “furry art” on literal google images and I guarantee with 100 year warranty that you will see a truly inappropriate image pop up. The fact that other fandoms also have inappropriate topics also does excuse the furry fandom from also doing that. This sounds like my mom, but is it ok to smoke if everyone around you smoked cigarettes? No. And why would you believe the wiki page of the furries themselves? No one can speak for themselves. Actions speak louder than words, and the actions definitely point in the opposite direction than the words.

^It’s not that furries are “mean” it’s that their fandom is rife with content that is centered around topics i can’t say here obviously, but inappropriate. Trust me, I am not an anti-furry for no reason. Also, I don’t support the extremist anti furries since their methods of fear are ineffective and only make us look bad.
