Like Office Siren, but gross and crusty. Overworked and underpayed, slaving away under a mountain of papers. I picture the style of it being like Becky from Psychonauts (ie. Realistic 80s fashion, lots of grungy greens and oranges)
I also recommend chipmunkson16speed (if you're into post-punk), Aphex Twin, and Nero's Day at Disneyland (specifically the singles that can be found on the unofficial album Heaven's Gate)
Reminds me of when people were telling each other to look up Softcore and getting softcore corn
Dunno, but something really sleazy and sycophant-ish
Besides that, I agree with your point. The name Cutecore is really misleading NGL, Just call it, like, Splattercute or something like that if the term "gore" is the problem.
Oh! I was just wondering. That wasn't about the whole "kawaii is offensive" thing, just something I heard in a YouTube comment once about microtrends erasing cultural history (they were talking about Jojifuku for context).
Those other decades weren't all that either. There was AIDS, Desert Storm, drug epidemics out the wazoo, celebs getting away with horrendous crap because they were famous, and unrestricted internet access, too (I was a victim of that, frick kphoria).
But I understand the urge to go back.
Isn't Cutecore literally just the westernized version of Yamikawaii?
Ben Wheele videos
Badpunk
There's a metric ton

I know, just think the concept of Blondecore is hilarious
What?
Id say Superflat Pop
No
Out here making a whole hair color an aesthetic. What's next? Gingercore?
Amen! It's not a matter of fur itself being cruel, it's a matter of where the fur comes from (ie. companies mistreating animals).
If I were to guess, I'd say a surreal variant of Superflat Pop (spliced in with a bit of Weirdcore)
@Sillycreatur talking about the people you're talking about, the Coquette girlies
I could care less about Coquette and whatever fashion aesthetics are hot now, but gatekeeping and/or being rude to people for dressing in "your" style is terrible nonetheless.
