.. Where did you learn about Groovival? They literally coined the term
Most of the Cari stuff does need creating on the wiki. There is no reason to merge it to curly whatsoever. There could be a broader page covering the numerous revivals there were going on in the 90s (Ultramoderne Revival, Groovival, Googie Kitsch, Millenial Disco, 90s Laborwave, Malaise Era Revival...), but I wouldn't put it as a merger.
It's an incoherent assemblage of random stuff is what it is.
@Eric ShanRick8 actually, I believe it to be closer to https://cari.institute/aesthetics/sportsbrut
RobLiefeldcore
Of course it did. With all respect due to Steeve Peeps, that's mostly just bog-standard Y2K Futurism, occasionally cross-pollinating with other stuff like 90s Cool,
Vectorbloom
That is literally not answering my question.
What makes it not just... plain hip hop fashion?
That's not soft countryana, that's pastel Whimsicraft
It's several things alternating. The opening segment is urbling. Some of it is indeed Vectorflourish/vectorgarden, but the brunt of it hinges more on the Vector Minimalism/Electroclash side than Frutiger Metro as we typically define it.. There's also a raver/psychedelic bit.
Steampunk horror and Pulp Art?
As a motif it varies (if only because there are wildly different styles of graffitis!). It's also part of Urbling and Graffiti Pop.
Only if you think anything white and green is frutiger aero. Aside form that, It's textbook AirSpace and Vector Minimalism.
The live-action stuff is Midwest Emo, while the surreal stuff is mostly 8-Bit . the manga/comic/games/cartoon are Superflat pop
IMO that's still well within Vector Minimalism, actually
