Romantic Academia

I love the majority of the aesthetic (the clothing style, colors, focus on literature and the academics, etc), but I can’t get relate to the romance aspect of Romantic Academia. I’m just not a romantic person. My question: can I still partake in the Romantic Academia aesthetic (though, a slightly altered version of it)? And if not, do you guys have any alternative aesthetics I’d potentially like?

I am so happy to find this website. I really love learning. I'm kind of "Dark Academia" but I am more "Light" & "Romantic" academia :)

Recently (literally a few moments ago) I discovered the aesthetic auroracore which almost felt like home, the aesthetic had my favorite colors as key ones, and I love the idea of magic being tied to our souls (not fiction-like magic, a more "realistic" kind of magic) and it being represented artistically... My art even looks like the ones in the wiki !!

The problem is... it's too childish ? I don't is just- i've always been a romantic (even considered romantic academia), Anne Shirley-like, but there was always much deeper thought behind my magical beliefs, it isn't like "I wish magic existed" it is "Magic do exist, but it is invisible to the naked eye".

Speaking like this I could consider Fairy Academia, but the wiki just makes it looks so... bad ? Not wanting to offend anyone, but one of the fairy academics interest being "con and scheming" ? It doesn't falls right to me. Of course it makes sense with the original fairy culture, but you don't want to reproduce those activities (I hope).

Ok, that's it. I'm looking out for something that holds the mindset of the quotes above but with the aesthetic of auroracore, I will obviously have to make up something on my own but does anyone have some aesthetics from where I could get inspiration ? Perhaps some pictures or references ? I have an idea on mind but I need to feed it.

My favorite academia is both light and dark but I'm a total art hoe

My least favorite is pastel (not the aesthetic just some of the people in it and some topics of it)

I'm clearly Chaotic academia but read a lot of books (mainly graphic novels tho)

I'm not interested in harry potter but I enjoy mage-like fantasy schools

I work messy but still remain clean

I don't enjoy learning but I'm interested in a lot of historical evets (especially historical tragedies)

I've always wanted to work at a cafe (not that important tbh lol)

Hi, I'm a huge loyalist to light academia style! Usually, what you'll find in my wardrobe are neutral colours: beige, pale rose, muted blues, ecru and black are the most commonly occurring shades. Over the past few months, I've been gravitating towards wanting to put a bit more colour into my wardrobe (a bit more of a pop!), but I still want to retain my 'academia' style. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this? Eg, pieces to start with, whether I should start by just focusing on a single accent colour to begin integrating with etc. Please let me know! FYI, I have looked into aesthetics like vibrant and pastel academia, but neither of them seem to cater to what I'm looking for!

Hi everyone im new here and need help trying to find my aesthetic for the longest time ever so if anyone can help I would appreciate it ive been loving Romantic Academia but i want to be sure thats what fits me the best, but im trying not to be cottagecore either as my aesthetic because I feel too basic , and maybe outfit ideas too would be amazing.

Here's a description of some of the things I like

Colors: Sage green, Beige, Cream, a bit of pink, , brown definitely, gold, dark green

Hobbies : poetry, journaling, daydreaming, drawing, definitely being in the nature, vintage romantic music is *chefs kiss*

Music: definitely romantic music from the 1980s and a mix of musical notes

And lastly I love the idea of being in love and being dreamy all day long hehe
