We need a male version of traumacore where instead of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, or other sanrio characters, it’s instead Aqua Teen Hunger Force, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dragonball Z, the Boys, or whatever else tf men even like

Agora Hills is a doja cat song. What do yall think the music video's aesthetic is? To me it has morute vibes but idk
The video has a lot of Analog horror vhs style filming as well as pink soft outfits, frills and angel wings, ballet shoes, but also bloom, and creepy faces and masks
I was wondering if there was a name for a visually darker morute aesthetic that uses more black than white and pink? Or is it still morute even if it doesn't have the light colour palette?
Weirdcore/Dreamcore comes across as really pretentious and boring. The repetitive phrases like "is this a dream?" and the general low effort of a lot of images (liminal spaces with text slapped over them) really made me just... stop liking it. The subreddit didn't help, either.
I kinda wish Weirdcore focused more on being WEIRD, not just "you've been here before" and sad nostalgia. There are plenty of other aesthetics like that, like Morute and After Hours, for example.
This is also why I was inspired to make Phlegmcore (potentially being renamed Vomitronic soon), because Weirdcore is just really limiting.
Morute: Nervous, emotional, gets hurt easily, empathetic, enjoys vintage music and movies
Welwitschia Goth: Wise, knows about potion making, wise, enjoys dolls and gothic literature, finds beauty in sad things
Not my art, but would this be considered Morute?
So, I think may have found some possible aesthetics for 2024
It looks like Soft Countriana has made a bit of a revival, but in a surprising and unexpected twist, it isn’t as noticeable here but there seems to be a bit of a crossover in imagery, it’s also having a crossover with Morute and Dollcore, but with more of a faded, worn, look, I predict this will be quite popular in niche communities.
Another one is a more close relative to Welwitschia Goth and Medical Academia, it’s very spooky and mysterious and involves dolls, medical items, religious motifs, etc
There is a third example of this but it’s very elusive and I may have to ask @Dovette princess for help because they founded that aesthetic

Aesthetics used:
Southern Gothic
Morute
Fun Fact: Under the rope of the Morute creature, it is an entity disguising it but it never showed its true form
This is suggested by @Geezeycore
(You can make a fanart of them btw, I'm not forcing you to do it)
And a a random doodle
Should aesthetics with childlike styles include gore?
I keep bouncing through aesthetics, but the one sure thing I know is that my style has these aesthetics in it:
Goth (casual varient)
Grunge
Morute
Pale grunge
Hospitalcore/sickcore (but like a less cute version, more dark)
Weirdcore/dreamcore
I have a lot of vibes I want to give off, particularly based on movies/shows (mostly looks-wise):
Tim Burton movies
Requiem for A Dream
Se7en
Fight Club
Death Note
I like that washed out blue/green tint over disheveled characters who look like they haven't slept in days. A 90s drug fueled Rockstar who's in too deep and has lost themself. That sorta thing, if it makes sense.
If anyone has any ideas for something like this, lmk!
Hi. I’m evil fairy, so please refer to me as such. My pronouns are she/her, and my aesthetic is morute. I don’t care about what you think.
At first i thought my aesthetic was morute but ehhh its close a great example is poppy's videos on youtube
Some key things are pastel colors, pastel teeth, stickers, backrooms, sanrio, unsettling & weirdness, eyes, and lace
Similar aesthetics: morute. yami kawaii, pastel, dreamy, bubble goth
Hello! I've been working on a Pinterest board for a story I'm working on, and I noticed today that its visual style (or, "aesthetic," more appropriately) was actually pretty interesting. I figured you guys might enjoy it, so I thought I'd make a post about it since I doubt it really merits its own page.
I haven't thought of a name yet, but it's sort of a mixture of feminine-oriented kidcore/nostalgiacore with elements of horror, grunge, surrealism, and the occult thrown in. With that description, I realize that it sounds a bit like weirdcore, but it really isn't very similar to it. It's sort of like a more 1980s-through-2000s-looking version of morute, which usually has more 1900s-through-1950s vibes. It kind of has traumacore vibes, but not exactly??? That probably doesn't make much sense. It's hard to put into words and it'll make more sense with visual examples, so here's the link to the board:
I hope you like it!
