Goth

Listen, I've been trying to not admit this for a long time now but I just can't not say it anymore. I really, really, really fucking hate scene and scenecore.

Emo, goth, decora, I'm completely fine with it but it's just that when it comes to scene/scenecore it disgusts me, I just hate it so much. The fashion, bands, music, ect irks me a lot.

I myself am a Punk and an Anarchist and this highly goes against my beliefs as one since I believe in being nice to everybody no matter what but I just hate scene kids and the things they like. This isn't a personal attack on them even though I know it sounds like it. I'm sorry if I had actually offended anybody by stating all of this, I don't know what my problem is.

TLDR; in like the mid 2000s-2010s tribal bellydancing inexplicably got HUGE and ended up joining with the goth community to make their own weird niche. It was blatant appropriation of every orientalist aesthetic under the sun BUT it was also its own ethos of body positivity, sacred femininity, and just overall that sort of earthy sex-positive feminism that was p common to the period.

HOWEVER I haven't found anything related to it on this wiki and I'm wondering if I hallucinated that boom??? pics posted to show what I mean.

Does anyone have any clothing brands or shops that would be good for this aesthetic? I mostly just wear military surplus and would love some good recs

I have a general Idea of each of them. But can someone list how they differ and how they are alike? Thank you!

people treat scene as an aesthetic rather than a subculture, same with emo, kawaii, and goth, and that bothers me. Is this just me or?

aesthetics do NOT matter. Be yourself. You don't need a label to know who you are. Not everything needs a "core" or a "group" just let people be. Scene isn't an aesthetic its a lifestyle. Its not hyperpop, its not a fashion style, its not a "cool club" its a culture

. Same with emo, and kawaii, and goth. PLEASE stop trying to take lifestyles and make it "rawr xd!!"

I want it to feel both scary, cute, and comforting. Because I find scary and cute things comforting.

I also want to incorporate my favorite characters into the mix.

Hey, I really want to know what my aesthetic is since I can't really tell.

I love Knightcore, Dark Academia, weirdcore, yanderecore, webcore, liminal space and traumacore imagery. I love the aesthetics of Knightcore and Dark Academia, and I love the feelings of weirdcore and traumacore.

I tend to dress very androgynously and wear baggy clothes but if I was more confident in myself and my body, I think I would dress like an e-girl or a goth. I really like dark colors. I am very shy and have a depressed personality, I really love dark themes.

If it was socially acceptable, I would like to wear medieval armors or traditional polish dresses.

My sense of humor tends to match feralcore and femcel weebcore.

My favorite musicians are GHOST and Pals, Vane Lily, RIProducer, Mitski, Miracle Of Sound, Aviators, Nashimoto Ui, Mother Mother

Favorite songs are: Aura by GHOST, I Deserve to Bleed by Sushi Soucy, SCAPEGOAT by GHOST, DEATHBODY by GHOST and Vane (this song is very special to me since it perfectly conveys my feelings of immense depression, nihilism, suicidal ideation and feeling like I should be buried in the ground somewhere.), hanahaki syndrome by Shiki Miyoshino and GHOST, Embers Rise by Miracle Of Sound, Moonlight blue by Miracle Of Sound

Favorite games are: Dark Souls (I love the medieval setting and armors so much, and I love the depressing and hopelessness themes), Elden Ring, Stardew Valley, OMORI

I love drawing (I especially love drawing knights, vent art, gothic stuff), playing games, making music, taking care of my cats
