for specifically the forestpunk, but any other related aesthetics that may have this information, the advice to use faux fur over organic fur is actually quite bad. especially considering the environmental beliefs of forestpunk. faux materials such as faux fur, pleather, etc, are actually very harmful for the environment and shed tons of microplastics. they also are poor quality in regards to actually designing anything with them, as they break down easily. ive seen many pleather jackets begin peeling after just a few weeks of regular wear.
what should be adviced, however, is ethically sourcing. buying second hand is one of the easiest ways of making sure youre not paying into a company that mistreats animals. buying first hand is a bit harder, but there are ways to tell if what youre looking at is ethically sourced. ethically sourced fur is from either already dead animals (roadkill) or animals killed for food, where every part of it is used. not fur farming, where animals are raised and bred purely for their fur. this does not include sheep, llamas, or other wool animals as it is in fact very humane to shear them. these animals have been domesticated by us humans to be farm animals and to produce wool, they need to be sheared for their health and safety. many people still live off of hunting animals, and every culture has hunted animals for food, tools, clothes, and other materials. many cultures still do to this day. ill include some links talking about the ethics of fur in more detail.
all of this, i am saying as someone that tries to be properly environmentally conscious, as well as racially and socially. i grew up in the country, where hunting was not a sport, but a way of life and a necessity. the perspective that i am speaking from is often either unknown or ignored. i know that yall probably dont want to get political or too deep into ethics, but the aesthetics that may tote around saying foux > organic are talking ethics. so this is my piece.
of course, you can also always just not wear fur. if you dont like the ethical dilemma of faux vs organic, simply dont wear fur. youre not losing anything or missing out on anything, no one will call you a poser or a fake. if they do, shame on them.
basically, tldr; dont buy faux materials if youre environmentally conscious, just buy from ethical sources or second hand. sorry this is so long lol
Can a Goblincore room still be Goblincore without house plants? i'm currently making my room themed one, but my plants just somehow died. but i still have the elements to make my room be one, like fake vines and a grass floor

My emo bsf (maybe gf? Don't know yet) and I are both hiding from our parents about this stuff, mine would never support anything but Christian straight cis republican (they literally hate Catholics) SO for Valentine's day I had the idea of getting eachother something aesthetic-related? idk? Anyways I wanna let y'all tell me what you think. Thank you for reading my stupidy. Eat trash, be free, and have a good day, y'all!
I need an asthetic for a character that's is kinda the opposite of goblincore, but one that would still coexist with a character whose asthetic is goblincore if that makes sense. Basicly character A's asthetic is goblin core, and they are best freinds with character B, whose asthetic is almost polar opposite from character As, but doesn't affect anything. What would be a good asthetic for character B?
I'll share a little about myself:
I want to find an aesthetic because I realized I dont have one when my friends and I were dressing up as each other for fun, and neither of my friends knew what to dress up as for me! I've been told goblincore or gremlincore, but if I'm being honest, I want clothes with a bit more fun and color. I really like retro clothing but I want clothes I can wear in my day to day life. I am a tomboy and I love to be able to go barefoot. I'm also into theatre. I love the steampunk style, but the clothes aren't ones that would work in normal life. I live where it's hot most of the time, so I can't wear jackets a lot. I'm also a Christian and I love to read and write and be funny with my friends. I don't want my outfit to look too trendy either because it sounds really stupid, but I hate things that are too trendy. Uhhh my favorite color is blue and my favorite animal is a snake and uh yeah that seems to be it lol. Please please please help me!
Similar to gremlincore and vulture culture, except it combines them with an element of moths included. See the full page here(needs more photos!):

I feel like my life is just cottagecore, plant mom, goblincore, dark angelcore, bloomcore and cutecore mixed together with in a little bit of dark academia and Midwest gothic sprinkled into the whole mess.

I love so many aesthetics which makes it hard to pick an outfit that truly feels like me or decorate my room like I want. Please help 🙏
Here are the aesthetics I like:
- retrocore
- goblincore
- idk what it's called but it's like a ghost hunter kind of aesthetic or a person in search of the paranormal
- kind of like a hopeless romantic vibe?
- y2k
- skater
- light academia
- weirdcore
- coquette aesthetic but only to decorate a small area of my room that's hidden (like my closet, it's kind of medium sized so I could make it work 😅)
Thanks in advance!!! ❤️

This aesthetic is foggy, soggy, green, slightly nostalgic, forestry, and old homey, kinda like a mix between goblincore, mushroomcore and cottagecore, also uses the main colours of dark green, pastel dark green, brown, and pastel dark brown
Sogfognostcore-
A aesthetic that is wet, foggy, nostalgic, very green and pastel brown, and mushroomy, it's kinda like a mix between goblincore, mushroomcore, nostalgiacore, and Around 1860s-1950s themed houses
