Cyberpunk

I know that Akira, Evangelion and Lain are cyberpunk (oriental) but it is very different from the cyberpunk aesthetic itself and from other works of this aesthetic such as Cyberpunk2077 and Cyberpunk Edgerunners, it is not so neon and even though it is futuristic it is old.

It can also be futuristic y2k, but from what I saw of these aesthetics it looks more like Frutiger Aero, it uses metallic colors and is cleaner, which is different from these 3 animes and from oriental cyberpunk

I would say it is something like cybercore because it focuses on technology itself and the 90s vision of the future, different from cyberpunk which is focused on punk and the inequality of a society

Y2k, on the other hand, is focused on the vision of the technological future of the 2000s onwards, therefore, also different from that

But from what I saw cybercore is another name for futuristic y2k, so I was in doubt, can someone explain it to me

So on the cyberpunk page there are a bunch of subaesthetics that have no pictures and dont have much information and no examples and most of these subaesthetics, like neo-tokyo used to have their own page but not anymore, why?????

Who knows maybe they can have their own pages in the future unless if that has been all ready done.

Keep in mind SwagPunk Pop has alot of subgenres

• Gothicpunk Pop

• Saturatedpunk Pop (CW/ Eye strain) basicly even more colorful and some elements of Glitchcore and other stuff too

• Medical Swag/Nurse Punk (CW/ Possible Drug overdose & Blood)

• Cyberpunk Scientist/Swag Cyberpunk Lab

• Swagpunk Kemono (aka Swagpunk Furry)

• Swagenemo (pronounced as Swag-ene-mo) *however I don't think there is enough ideas aesthetic subgenre due to it being really small.

SwagPunk Pop does have some elements and inspiration of Cyberpunk as well as a little fun fact.

The only criticism I can give to Swag Punk is the AI Art dilemma because some examples I found there are AI Art but I added them because so I can keep track on the aesthetic itself despite not showing any AI examples... Sorry. I mean Superflat Pop did get cirticism too on the wiki but I'm not say it here.

For Frutiger Cyber (formerly Early Aero) I would like to see more examples like Windows Longhorns devoplement, Windows Wistler, and other examples too... Maybe Windows XP can count for the Frutiger Cyber since I see some people say it's Frutiger Aero or Cybercore and I say it's both and that's why I also like to put Frutiger Cyber too.

So I guess that's what I have to say. Just something I wanted to share here.

Trivia: It's a copy and traced of Cookie's Costume splash art and all the characters makes cameo in Ami and Yumi's splash art

For some reason the current dark mode background has always bugged me, especially since it doesn’t match with light mode and the resolution is pretty bad, but I was bored so I decided to make a new one! If any admins see this you 100% have my permission to use this as the background! :D

from the late 2000s to mid 2010s, the dubstep/edm community was associated with these dark, sci-fi, modern industrial vibes, mostly in album covers and edm mix youtube thumbnails. media examples would include skrillex, excision, nero, black rock shooter, dark knight trilogy, portal, arknights, halo, call of duty, michael bay transformers, deadpool movies and the matrix. closest related aesthetics i could find are cyberpunk, brutalism, techwear, rave and abstract tech, but what im referring to doesn't fit cleanly into any of those. so does this count as a full aesthetic, or is it just considered cyberpunk?
