Classic Academia

Hi i’m a teen going back to school and I want to keep my Barbiecore aesthetic, but mix it with some Academia with it. Does anyone know how to get an aesthetic popular?

How do I know what my aesthetic is? I mean, I love all the Academias (specifically Dark Academia), Royalcore is gorgeous, Dazecore is what my life constantly feels like, Cottagecore and Fairycore are adorable... how am I supposed to know which one fits me the best?

A fun challange for whoever wants to try. I think my aesthetic is a combination of these so I was also wondering your takes on it.

Moodboard or description?

My favorite colors are black, silver, sunset orange, and various desaturated blues. My favorite bands/artists are Alkaline Trio, Streetlight Manifesto, Ricky Montgomery, and Twenty One Pilots.

My hobbies are sleeping, making playlists on spotify, writing, taking pictures of trash and other odd items & learning about typology (mbti, enneagram, tri-type, etc.)

Clothing style: simple blue or black jeans a t-shirt & a hoodie or long black tool skirts, corsets & white blouses. I've also got black slacks, white button up/down (practically the same to me) + a black blazer. I wear the same two pairs of shoes, tall black worn-in docs, or simple black sneakers.

My favorite anime is Bungou Stray Dogs & my favorite genre of book is Japanese post World War literature. I also love classic literature in general (thank anime for that). I have really good grades too. If it helps at all I'm a ISTJ 9w1 963 sp/so phlegmatic-sanguine.

Looking for new books to read! my aesthetics right now are dark academia, chaotic academia and perhaps a little classic academia. i like mystery, perhaps thriller, romance, drama, classics, and books that teach on cooking, baking, sewing, organization, fashion, art techniques, dancing, and any sort of melee combat or knife-technique. thank you <3

I have strong views about the importance of research and experiments, as I aspire to become a scientist one day but the subject of my interests is quite unusual... It's not maths, chemistry or physics (typical hard science subjects) but it's linguistics which is kind of difficult to define in terms of sciences. It's not a typical humanities study like philology but it focuses on the language itself as a construct, has logic - related elements. Philology focuses more on literature, poets, culture. I don't know which category I fit in. I also take an interest in the forensic subfield of linguistics and other forensic sciences.

When it comes to my personal fashion aesthetic I wear mostly dark colours, black, burgundy, forest green, teal, deep purple, etc. I like looking elegant so I mix dark academia style with the romantic goth one. My best friend jokes about me looking like a scary science goth lady, which is kind of true. I usually wear turtlenecks or silk blouses with long skirts, I add a corset belt, a long cardigan when it's cold and vintage jewelry

My music taste oscillates around symphonic metal, classical pieces, nu metal, movie soundtracks (with gothic vibes), musicals (my favourite one is Phantom of the Opera), anime soundtracks and dark jazz tunes (bands and artists: Within Temptation, Korn, Slipknot, Kovacs, Elyose, IAMX, Blackbriar, many composers like Prokofiev, Kachaturian, Wojciech Killar, Abel Korzeniowski, Shostakovich)

My favourite book is Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulhakov.

I’m a female who is a mix of the academia aesthetics and cottagecore. I was wondering if anyone’s has any makeup look suggestions or places to buy clothes from these aesthetics that aren’t to pricey. I appreciate the help :)
