I think the "larper" in "Larpercore" is more about how outsiders see the online behavior – all the server raiding, edgy flag creation, and those big claims about fighting "degeneracy" on Discord can come across as performative, like they're playing a role online. It's not a self-given name, more of a label applied from the outside to describe that kind of online "acting out."
