Yes, I asked an admin about it earlier. Now we gotta use discussions. This is because admins often have trouble moderating page comments, after all there's lots of pages

This is so sad, the comments were actually really helpful dicussion wise.

Comments were removed on aesthetic pages to prevent general misbehavior and guideline-breaking.

I'm gonna really miss comments but hey at least I won't have to get upset over people commenting toxic stuff on my pages

The problem with the comment section of pages was that there is no update feed like how it exists for pages and the discussions feature, so you would have to manually check all pages for the latest comments, and often trolls would specifially target older comments for vandalism because nobody checks those.
