Futuristic Y2K is definitely my favorite, but if this is referring to the pink Y2K/mcbling(which I don’t hate btw it’s just not my forte) then I’d say cyberpunk
I chose Y2K because of how it influenced modern media in ways that I don't think something like dark academia or weirdcore have. (Not to understate their contributions!) and nowadays when things like corporate culture and gentrificaton affect even the most fringe communites, y2k is a refreshing break from the noise.
