Guys I need help finding more information about this aesthetic I've discovered. It seems to be a subgenre of Frutiger Aero. What do the admins of this wiki think? Is it distinct enough to make an article about it?
Name: Mata Nero, named after the Mata font used in Spider-Man 3 and PlayStation 3's old logo. Nero stands for black, reflecting the aesthetic's predominant colour scheme. It also ends with -ero, referencing Aero.
Main attributes: Black colour scheme, usually complemented by blue or red auroras or accents. Unlike Frutiger Aero, the Mata Nero doesn't utilise bubbles, or green that often. Auroras are used, however they're not the main point. The aesthetic is more about surrounding dark glossy objects with coloured liquid, glow or the aforementioned auroras. This is what differs it from Abstarct Tech or Frutiger Aurora. It was quite oftenly used in gaming-related advertisements, wallpapers etc. The old Alienware design philosophy, for example.
Historywise, the aesthetic appeared in mid-2000s, complementing Frutiger Aero. However, it did last a bit longer. I suggest it died out with the introduction of consoles such as the PS4 slim and RGB gaming setups around 2016-ish.
Please tell me if this aesthetic already exists, I don't want to reinvent the wheel lmao.
