What exactly do you mean by rules?
Wut-
By rules, I meant if like if you have to be this or if you have to go by this or that or if lets say -
for a Lolita- you have to cover your shoulders or wrists
Or something like that, That's something I got from this blog -
http://livlotte.blogspot.com/2017/05/lolita-fashion-rules.html?m=1
Sorry if it seems like I don't make since to u guys, I have a disability and this is how I naturally type
Thank you for clarification, and no worries on the typing aspect.
Sad people is not a subculture or "advanced aesthetic" in the same way lolita or others are, which means that there are very few restrictions.
It is mainly visual based, so fashion and music have no affect. Listen to and wear whatever you want, though that should go without saying.
However, it does have a specific philosophical aspect, so that should be considered. Like traumacore, sad people is mainly used as a coping mechanism or venting environment. Instead of being for people with PTSD or other trauma related issues, it's for people with depression (amongst other conditions).
That being said, sad people is not inclusive to venting, unlike traumacore. In can be used in a fictional form, but it has to be done respectfully and accurately. Romanticized sadness can be very harmful, so if you use it outside of venting format please be sure to say so.
To put it simply: the only rules for sad people are related to respectfulness and accuracy. Hope this helps! <3
That rlly helps alot, ty !!
What are the advanced aesthetics ? I know Lolita is one but what are the other ones ?
Any aesthetic that has more connected to it then a visual I see as advanced.
Now I don't mean aesthetics that have things associated with them, I mean things directly related. So punk, goth, emo, scene, hippie, Raver, all of the keis, all of the rocks, horror, kawaii, avant-garde, ect, are advanced. Basically all aesthetics that second as subcultures, music genres, artistic or literary movements, or fashion styles.
An example of aesthetics that have different things associated with them: cottagecore, pastel, weirdcore, the academias, ect. These aesthetics have music genres, fashion styles, and even philosophies that can be related, but aren't inherently apart of. Just because most people involved in dark academia enjoy classical music doesn't mean that it's a strict aspect of the aesthetic. Just because most people involved in pastel lean towards a feminine appearance doesn't mean that pastel is inherently feminine.
Does that make since?
What do you think?
