You'll have to reach out to a mod if you want an accurate / exact answer / explanation for why they were merged / why Poolcore was deleted. I cannot accurately speak for why Poolcore was deleted.
(IIRC, they were merged because Poolcore was essentially a single-subject page, so it couldn't exactly stand on its own. There was enough overlap between Poolcore and Vacation Dadcore that it made sense to merge the two - Poolcore imagery is Vacation Dadcore, in some ways.)
