Someone decided to turn off the comments on the traumacore page and i would really like it for the comments to be turned back on :)

@Buzzibuzz I think that was because they didn't want people to use the comments as a place to be asking for mental health help...I think it was to encourage people to see a real therapist instead of being mislead by people on the internet. If you are going through trauma i'd advise you speak to a professional, instead of turning to the traumacore page.
Actually it's back but:
"Hello. We have decided to remove many of the comments here that were venting about personal problems in people's personal lives. Please do not include more. This is a wiki page, and it is extremely triggering for people to see vents in a place that is supposed to be about a visual. The wiki community is not a place to receive support in your personal life. Support groups, crisis hotlines, and therapists are a better place to vent, as they are a private place that would be moderated safely as to not encourage harmful ideas. Thank you." -Graviphantalia
Ok :) thanks for telling me.
We also stopped the function because people always post their "This page should not be here!" comments. It will eventually turn into a flame war. The two people who gather there: debaters and traumatized people, is a volatile combination.
And venting in a public place should always be discouraged. Fellow internet strangers are not good substitutes for therapists, and in many cases, actually exacerbates the problem (see the pro-ana community on tumblr, trigger warning for EDs). Additionally, information like that can and will be used to manipulate and bully people. Hate and blackmail can be done through collecting internet information and using it against the OP.
We are not willing to risk someone harming themselves for the sake of a wiki article.
I can't read all of that without going cross eyed but, thanks for that info!
People say that this aesthetic should not be there. In reality, it should.
Internet strangers can worsen trauma by traumatizing you or giving you mental burden when you should work on yourself/with a pro
Venting can be used as blackmail
We do not want to be responsible for someone's harm
:O
Oops sorry i forgot to press shift
What do you think?
