As an Asian-American, stop. Please do not add -core or -punk or whatever to any country or culture. Countries have thousands of years of culture, history, and contradictions that cannot be treated the same way as Dark Academia or Lovecore. What period of Japan are you talking about? Edo? Taisho? The Harajuku district of Tokyo or remote islands? You cannot distill Japan or any other country into a single aesthetic. The pages Americana and Traditional Polish have been written by American and Polish people. Unless a Japanese person contacts us saying that they are willing to do all of that research for the page, I and the other mods will snipe any *Insert country*-core.
