The page for Americana needs a lot of rewriting. I can contribute a lot to this in a few days when less busy.
But essentially:
The page needs to be more developed than a cross-cut of the random subcultural categories "Biker, Greasers, Okies, Redneck, Route 66" against the example categories of "Visual, Music, Fashion"
Furthermore, some (to all?) of those subcultures listed above (Biker, Greasers, Okies, Redneck, Route 66) are deserving of their entirely own pages.
While Bikers and Greasers, or Okies and Rednecks, are definitely aesthetic cultures of America, I don't think they necessarily constitute "Americana" aesthetic itself. Americana is certainly a vague term aesthetically, but from my point of view, it's anything the aesthetically represents nostalgia towards or the glorifying of America or American history. Like the thumbnail, this includes red white and blue; but also stuff like Statue of Liberty, Washington DC, Revolutionary War, apple pie, baseball, Coca-Cola, Levi's blue jeans, etc.
These are just my thoughts. Let me know what you guys think? I'm new to this wiki but I think it has some of the most amazing potential I've seen.
